TIMEWAVE / FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Does TimeWave work with every radio-controlled watch?

No. A watch must support a compatible signal and manual reception procedure. Conditions vary by model.

Is TimeWave an official Casio or Citizen app?

No. TimeWave is an independent third-party utility and is not affiliated with or endorsed by watch brands.

Why can a sync attempt fail?

Possible factors include incompatible signal mode, settings, audio routing, placement, interference, or model-specific limits. Verify the watch’s own result.

Will the watch show the correct local time?

Not necessarily. City, time-zone, and daylight-saving settings may affect the displayed time. Check them after reception.

Which Apple devices are supported?

The native project targets iPhone and iPad with an iOS 15 deployment target. Check the current App Store listing for final device compatibility.

Does the app timer prove the watch received a signal?

No. Confirm the watch’s reception indicator and displayed time.

Can I use headphones or Bluetooth?

Output hardware can affect results. Follow current in-app guidance; the built-in speaker is a sensible first option.
